Sreda

The identity of the “Sreda” festival is literal. Every day, we see that very same environment (Sreda) around us. It is not the glamorous, filtered virtual life of social networks, nor the nonexistent, abstract, and detached design and photography seen in online galleries. Instead, it is the everyday, ordinary environment. The goal of the festival is to create a
comfortable environment for people’s lives in Russia. This environment became the main character of the identity.

Every day, we photograph the world around us. These unedited photos and short videos are
incorporated into the layouts, best illustrating what the Sreda festival aims to change and improve. This is a manifesto style, a dialogue style, a recursive style. It is our environment. There is a lot around here that can and should be improved. But, to be honest, we love this environment just as it is.

Complementing the photographs is a simple seven-line layout. The main message is placed in the middle—the third line out of seven. In the same way, all announcements at the festival are displayed on Wednesdays (Sreda).
